TAC Volunteer Opportunity
The Seacoast Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is responsible for transportation planning activities in the Portsmouth-Dover-Rochester urbanized area and is comprised of the Policy Committee, the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and staff. The purpose of the TAC is to provide technical advice and recommendations to the Policy Committee concerning transportation issues that have a bearing on the region. Specifically, this often involves prioritizing transportation improvements (construction and transit), reviewing studies, and providing input to New Hampshire DOT and other agencies. The TAC does not establish policies for the SPW MP, but makes recommendations to the Policy Committee in that regard.
The Seacoast TAC meets about 5-6 times a year to give and receive input on regional transportation issues and is a critical component in the decision making process for the MPO.
